De ROX is het grootste Acorn retro-computing en RISC-OS evenement op het Europese vaste land. Kom en bekijk het oudste en nieuwste op Acorn retro en ARM gebied. Hard- en software voor systemen variërend van een Acorn System 1 tot Titanium.</p>
<p>Bij de Big Ben Club draait het al decennia om Acorn computers, zowel 8 bit computers zoals bijvoorbeeld de BBC-B tot en met systemen gebaseerd op de ARM processor die RISC-OS draaien zoals bijvoorbeeld de Raspberry Pi.</p>
<p>RISC-OS was het eerste besturings systeem voor ARM processoren lang voor LINUX , Android en iOS dat waren. Zelfs op een Raspberry Pi Zero draait het super comfortabel omdat RISC-OS weinig resources vraagt.</p>
<p>Naast dat de leden elkaar regelmatig ontmoeten in hun regio’s hebben we één keer per jaar een ‘show-off’ dag waar we in een ontspannen sfeer kennis en ervaringen uitwisselen. Ook zullen er de nodige Acorn en ARM systemen opgesteld zijn en worden er verdeeld over de dag presentaties gegeven. Voor u als bezoeker een unieke kans om laag drempelig kennis te maken met de Big Ben Club en met de fascinerende hobby van retro computing.</p>
<p>Wij heten u van harte welkom de toegang is gratis en zelfs het parkeren is gratis. De locatie is ook goed bereikbaar met het OV. De bushalte is voor de deur en het treinstation is op loop afstand.</p>

	de <a href="http://www.raspberrypi.org/">Raspberry Pi</a> gebruik van een ARM-processor. Veel leden van de vereniging hebben dit kleine computertje, dat ook te gebruiken is met RISC OS.
